Evan Kleinhaus, LMT PA-MSG005888

Evan Kleinhaus grew up in Lancaster City being a multi-sport athlete and knowing a good bit about the human body from the sports he played. An avid runner, Evan was on his high school and college Cross Country/Track and Field teams.

Evan received a BA in Global Geography at Millersville University. During that time he also coached Cross Country, Track and Swimming at McCaskey High School. Evan decided to go back to school for Sport Massage Therapy in order to become a better coach and give the students an edge in recovery. He graduated in 2011 from Lancaster School of Massage. He then continued his education and received a personal training certificate. This provided Evan with a balance between the two professions of massage therapy and personal training, giving him an advantage to help clients achieve their goals. While being the Associate Executive Director at the City Center YMCA in Lancaster, he oversees the wellness and sport departments and still competes in many running and lifting competitions.

Massage Therapy has elevated him to a higher level of body awareness and how the body functions. Evan focuses primarily on sport massage, working road races, marathons (some with a full Medical Triage), bike races and has worked his way onto the USA Weightlifting Sport Medical Team and with WWE when they are in Hershey and Wilkes-Barre. He is constantly learning new perspectives about the human body and what it is able to accomplish for both his clients and himself.

Evan is available for appointments Friday 8:00-1:00pm & Sunday 8:00- 4:00pm.

Nicole Fortney, LMT PA-MSG011662

When life gives me trouble, I turn to joyful movement, radical rest, the arts, nature, friends, family, trusted health providers, nourishing food and, of course, massage therapy.
My core beliefs are that life is short; so be kind to yourself and the people around you, wear comfortable clothing, laugh - a lot, create beauty when you can, and appreciate it when you can't.
After years of receiving massages in my mid to late twenties, I decided that I'd like to share the benefits that the various modalities have for every system in our body - by becoming a practitioner myself.  When my kids went to school, so did I.
I completed the full-time medical based program at the Harrisburg Area Community College in 2017. My training there included Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Connective Tissue techniques. I joined the team at Releaf in 2019.
Part of licensure in Pennsylvania involves continuing education. In order to better serve the diverse clients I see, living with a broad range of conditions, I've taken classes and received certifications in:
⁃ Comfort Touch for the Medically Frail
⁃ Orthopedic Massage
⁃ Pregnancy Massage
⁃ Manual LymphaticDrainage, for the in-tact lymph system
⁃ Reiki I & II
⁃ Respect Massage
⁃ Somatic Mindfulness, introductory

Being human isn't always easy. Book a session to rest, digest, and recover from whatever challenges you find yourself in presently and care for wounds of the past.

Nicole is available for appointments Monday 2:00-6:00pm & Wednesday/ Friday 9:00-1:00pm.

Karen Holmes, LMT PA-MSG012056

Karen is a highly qualified massage therapist with a passion for improving people's health and wellbeing. Karen graduated from State University College at Brockport, NY, where she earned a BS in Recreation Therapy. She began her career by working with an 11-person team to provide care for elderly residents in a 500-bed combined living complex. Later, Karen devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother to her three children, who are now grown.

In 2017, Karen decided to return to school at the Baltimore School of Massage. Since then, she has worked at a chiropractor's office, where she has learned the benefits of massage before an adjustment. Karen has extensive experience treating clients who have suffered from injuries due to repetitive motion, work-related accidents, and pre- and post-operative surgeries for hip and knee replacements. She has also worked with patients who have suffered from severe neck and back tension due to car accidents. Karen enjoys educating her clients on how to maintain good health through simple exercises and self-advocacy. She also finds joy in helping people reduce stress, which has become an increasingly common issue in daily life.

Karen has been a Master Reiki Practitioner since 2014 and has worked with veterans and law enforcement officials suffering from PTSD to help them reduce stress. She has volunteered her services to hospice patients and has even treated pets in pain.

Karen utilizes various modalities and tools including cups and gusha to achieve optiomal results.

Karen is available for appointments Sunday 9:00-1:30, Monday 9:00-1:00, & Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 2:00-7:00 pm.

Kerry Crum, LMT PA-MSG015371

Kerry grew up as an accomplished athlete, with a talent for sciences. She knew she wanted to help people and animals, but she did not find her path to massage therapy until she experienced it for herself.

She worked as a Chiropractic Tech for two years, observing and learning about alternative medicines and therapies. But, her journey with massage therapy began after multiple old sports injuries and surgeries left her with pain, scar tissue, atrophy, and limited ability to walk. After 2 years of seeing specialists, she tried massage therapy. Not only did massage therapy help with pain relief, it healed injuries she believed to be unresolvable. The results were outstanding, and she knew she needed to share this with other chronic pain sufferers.

Kerry graduated from HACC's Massage Therapy Program in 2020, and continued her study of health sciences with a goal to continue learning how western and eastern medicines can work together to help both people and animals. When combining both treatment styles, the results can be profound.

She specializes in injury recovery, deep tissue, migraine and sinus work, as well as chronic pain relief. This can involve myofascial release, stretching, range of motion techniques, as well as neuromuscular therapy, cupping, and integrative methods. She also offers hospice treatments, and light pressure therapeutic massage.

She is trauma and PTSD aware.

Kerry is available for appointments Wednesday/Friday 2:00-6:00 PM & rotating Saturday/Sunday 10:00-2:00 PM.

Julia Scheib, LMT PA-MSG015123

I came to the field of massage therapy after training and working as an occupational therapist. In 2019, I earned my Master’s of Science in OT from Salus University, where I completed research on stress-management techniques for new moms and also researched sensory strategies for nursing-home caregivers to help residents with dementia feel comfortable and safe. After graduating, I worked as a home health OT caring for patients after hospitalization. I made the switch to practicing massage in April of 2023, working for a chiropractic group and then a spa before coming to Releaf.

Having experienced plenty of stress-related ailments, I understand that lifestyle changes and self-care techniques can sometimes only go so far to alleviate stress and pain. It gives me so much joy to be able to offer a little refuge from the world and help clients relax and feel better.

I use modalities including Swedish massage, neuromuscular/trigger point therapy, and myofascial release, according to my clients’ goals, needs and preferences.

Julia is available for appointments Wednesday from 3:00-7:00pm, Thursday from 1:00-7:00pm & Sunday from 11:00-5:00.
