Frequently Asked Questions

Why massage?

Massage therapy will help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety, and create an overall sense of well-being.

How can I schedule my appointment?

Schedule your appointment online at www.releafmassagetherapy.fullslate.com , call/text 315-521-3794, or email releaf@massagetherapy.com.

What type of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, or credit cards are accepted.

What is your cancellation policy?

Allow 24 hours advance notice to reschedule or cancel any appointment. Cancellations in less than 24 hours or a client who fails to show for an appt, "no show", will be responsible for the full value of the scheduled appointment. The charges will go on the credit card you gave when scheduling your appointment. These rules also apply to Gift Certificates.

Do you take walk-ins?

No, appointments are required.

Do I need to arrive early?

Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to use the restroom and ensure adequate time for us to discuss any changes in your health or medical status. New clients should arrive at least 15 minutes early.

What if I'm running late?

Please give a courtesy call as soon as you know. Late arrivals are not granted extensions, and will receive the remainder of their scheduled session and full session price will be due.

What can I expect for my first massage?

When you arrive for your first appointment, you will be required to fill out a Client Intake Form and sign the Office Policy. After discussing your health history, current need for massage, and any painful areas of concern we will create a personalized session tailored for your needs and goals. Then you will be given a few minutes of privacy to undress to your level of comfort. You will be fully draped in sheets and a blanket for the duration of the session. Take a moment to relax; the therapist will knock before entering the room again. Feel free to openly communicate if you would like to change the pressure, temperature, music, or have a drink of water. This is your time to relax!

Will I be fully covered?

You will be properly draped at all times. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. You and the practitioner will discuss the desired outcome of your session. This will determine which parts of your body require massage.
